This weekend in Texarkana is packed full of things you can do so let's get right to all of the great family-friendly events you can check out this weekend.

1. Downtown BBQ Contest and Car Show. This event in downtown Texarkana will have a BBQ and a big car show. Music and kid-friendly activities will take place as well.

2. LIve Music In Texarkana. It doesn't matter what kind of music you like, you can find it in Texarkana this weekend. Over 10 different bands and I have included videos of the bands for you to check out as well.

3. The Ace Of Clubs House is holding a ping pong tournament and showing the classic movie Forrest Gump this Saturday.

4. Downtown Live. This event scheduled for tonight in downtown Texarkana will feature 15 different artists painting live in downtown Texarkana as well as live street musicians and dancing.

5. Feet Up Wine Down Thrive Yoga will present this program on Friday night. A complimentary glass of wine or non-alcoholic wine is part of the session.

Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life.
