Blue Alert Issued For Jerry Elders in Texas

UPDATE: Jerry Elders was captured in Gainsville after a short pursuit and is now in custody.

The Texas Department of Public Safety has issued a Blue Alert for Jerry Elders over a police shooting in Burleson, Texas earlier today.

Burleson, Texas is just south of Ft WorthElders is has been identified as one of three people involved in shooting a police officer several times during a traffic stop in Burleson earlier today.

The three fled the officer shooting scene and it's alleged that at least one of them fatally shot a woman while carjacking her vehicle a short time later.

Jerry Elders is considered armed and very dangerous, if you see him or the vehicle described below please 911 immediately.

The vehicle: 2014 white or silver Toyota Tacoma, Texas license plate DKB6819.

Texas Blue Alert: Issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety for people who have either killed or seriously injured a law enforcement officer.
