UPDATE: Jerry Elders was captured in Gainsville after a short pursuit and is now in custody. The Texas Department of Public Safety has issued a Blue Alert for Jerry Elders over a police shooting in Burleson, Texas earlier today.

Bowie County is up to 76 positive COVID-19 cases, with 5 related deaths. In the latest update from Friday afternoon. Cass County has added 5  for a total of 13 positive cases confirmed.
