You Have Spoken, Here Are The 5 Most Missed Restaurants in Texarkana
If you don't know by now, folks in Texarkana are passionate about their food, especially where they love to go out to eat. On Monday I put a question out on our Facebook page asking you, 'What is the most missed restaurant in Texarkana?
I could not believe how many people commented on the post as of this morning more than 900 people have commented. From some restaurants that have not been gone too long to some, I had to look up to see about the history. Our listeners have some pretty strong opinions on what they would like to see back in Texarkana.
Bryce's Cafeteria. This was the most popular comment on our Facebook page. Curiously a lot of folks wanted the old downtown location back as much as the most recent spot.
Johnny Carino's was one of my favorite places to go for lunch and dinner. And yes the nachos were one of my family's favorites. There is one open in Waxahachie Texas.
Charcoal Broiler. This restaurant was a little before my time. I have been told there were two locations on the corner of Texas Blvd. and the one location in the College Hill area is still there and currently has a restaurant there.
Pancho's it has been a few years since the Mexican Buffet closed in Texarkana to make room for a gym and Jason's Deli. There is still one open in the Dallas area if you want to make the trip.
Luby's. It is clear that Texarkana loves its Cafeteria-style restaurants. Luby's was a fixture for years in Central Mall. There are still 32 locations of the cafeteria that are open in Texas.
There are some honorable mentions that I need to share with you.
Guy's Burgers
The Hush Puppy fish restaurant.
Brangus.
Pizza Inn.
Cj's restaurant.
Genghis Grill
Spero's
La Caretta Mexican Restaurant.
