Another Texarkana Restaurant Closes It's Doors For Good

If you like cajun food we are sorry to report that there will be one less place to get it in Texarkana. As of yesterday, June 6, 2022, Meomyo is no-mo.

Meomyo's Bayou Cafe on Jefferson Ave in Texarkana, Arkansas made the announcement on their Facebook page yesterday, that they are done.

I don't pretend to be a cajun food junkie or anything like that, but I do like it, and I hate to see another good food option go by the wayside here in T-town. We have lost too many in the last couple of years.

Thankfully there are still some very good options for cajun food in our area but we still hate to lose a good one.

So, it's sad but true, the Ark-La-Tex has lost another tasty restaurant. The worse the economy gets the more this is going to happen too, as we tighten our belts to keep the bills paid one of the first things to go by the wayside is eating out. Let's hope things get turned around sooner rather than later.

If you're looking for a great day trip for the whole family may I recommend a fun outing at the Alligator Farm & Petting Zoo in Hot Springs, Arkansas? My wife has been visiting this fun attraction since she was a little girl, we manage to get around to seeing it every couple of years or so and for the most part, it stays pretty much the same, but it's always fun to pet a baby gater.
