Our ‘Salute to Service’ Features Two Of The Best From The Ark-La-Tex
Townsquare Media - Texarkana is proud to feature two of our Nation's finest, in service to their country and fellow man, one from Magnolia, Arkansas, and the other from right here in Texarkana, Texas.
Army Sgt. Jane Waller - Magnolia, Arkansas
Our first salute goes out to U.S. Army Sgt. Jane Waller.
Army Col. Brad Franklin - Texarkana, Texas
Our Second salute is for U.S. Army Col. Brad Franklin
Col Franklin is a native of Texarkana, Texas, and is the commander of Public Health Command-Pacific. Here the Colonel is talking to Lt. Melvin Rolon, a native of Aibonito, Puerto Rico. The Lieutenant is a medical administration officer assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4). He and Col. Brad Franklin discuss medical capabilities during a ship familiarization tour. Public Health Command-Pacific’s Public Health Activity in San Diego provides in-port food inspectors to ships homeported at Naval Base San Diego, including Boxer, a Wasp-class amphibious ship.

As always, we consider it an honor and privilege to feature our hometown heroes whenever we can. Without them and those that came before them, none of what we do and the freedoms we enjoy are possible.
Salute!
