Is Texarkana cheap? No not that kind of cheap, cheap to live in is what we need to know.

Kiplinger did a study to find the cheapest places to live and the state of Texas and Arkansas have a few cities on the list. They used factors from  Council for Community and Economic Research's calculations. They had specific costs of living like housing, cost of utilities, groceries, health care, transportation, and even miscellaneous expenses, like going out to dinner or the movies.

The great state of Texas has four on this list of cheap cities to live, but Arkansas has two on the list. Here is the list of the cheapest places to live in the United States.

10. Brownsville Texas.

9. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

8. Jonesboro, Arkansas.

7. Memphis, Tennesse.

6. Knoxville, Tennesse.

5. Witchita Falls, Texas.

4. Kalamazoo, Michigan.

3. Harlingen, Texas.

2. Conway, Arkansas.

1. Mcallen, Texas.
