Sports fans in Arkansas are getting a new treat with the announcement of a 5,000-seat soccer stadium that will feature professional men's and women's soccer teams, according to United Soccer League (USL) Arkansas.

The team will be the state's first professional soccer club, thanks to the founders Chris Martinovic of Rogers and Warren Smith of San Diego. The state-of-the-art stadium is to be built at the intersection of S. Bellview Road and Lazy L Street near the Pinnacle Hills district in Rogers.

The stadium is mainly focused on promoting soccer the venue will also be used for other community events. the USL Arkansas plans to play in the USL Championship the men's league before the FIFA World Cup kicks off in June 2026 in the U.S.

Fans' input is needed for the team's names and colors plus branding is all going to be a part of the community because this will represent not just NW Arkansas but all Arkansans living in the state. The new stadium can accommodate up to 15,000 people if needed and the new venue is expected to create hundreds of new jobs, the economic impact is going to be huge according to Warren Smith one of the co-founders of the organization.
