Get Signed Up Now For The ‘Starz Youth Talent Show’

The 'Starz Youth Talent Show' is back at the 77th annual Four States Fair on April 4th.

We need you to enter the  "Starz Youth Talent Show."  now. If you are between the ages of 10 and 18 and want to show off your singing or playing skills, here is your chance to shine and win great prizes. The "Starz Youth Talent Show." is a chance to discover and develop talent among the youth in Texarkana and surrounding areas. Any musical genre is welcome. You can get your entry form here.

There will be 4 age categories: 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, and 16-18. On Monday, contestants will perform on the Outdoor Stage in front of the judges and the audience. Performers can compete only once. The top 3 winners in each age category will be invited to compete in the Talent Show finals on Thursday at the Fair.  First-place winners in age categories 12-13, 14-15, and 16-18 will win a three-song demo cd and cover design from Smart Studios.   Prizes will also be awarded to 2^nd and 3^rd place winners in each age category at the finals.

The contest will be held at the Outdoor Stage during the 77th annual Four States Fair and Rodeo. Preliminaries are on Monday, April 4th from 6-8 pm with the finalists competing on Thursday, April 7th starting at 7:30 pm to determine the winners.

Each contestant can compete only once and will have a time limit of three minutes for their performance as well as two minutes for set-up time and sound check. Contestants are required to bring their own music, instrument, or props. Time will not be charged to your performance if the technicians request extra time. Townsquare Media and the Four States Fairgrounds will provide a complete sound system with technicians.

Contestants will be judged on:

1. Stage Presence
2. Artistic Performance
3. Audience Response
4. Musical/talent Content

(Lyrics and presentation must be acceptable in a family environment.)

The submission deadline for entry to the Starz Youth Talent Show is Friday, April 1st at 5 pm. No entry is considered valid until it is returned to Townsquare Media.
