Get Signed Up Now For The Starz Youth Talent Show

The 13th annual "Starz Youth Talent Show" is September 16 through September 19.

The deadline is fast approaching to enter the "Starz Youth Talent Show." If you are between the ages of 8 and 20 and want to show off your singing or playing skills, here is your chance to shine and win great prizes.

The "Starz Youth Talent Show" is all a chance to discover and develop talent among the youth in Texarkana and surrounding areas. Any musical genre is welcome.

Contestants perform on the Outdoor Stage during the Four States Fair. The first round of competitions is Monday, September 16, from 6 PM to 8 PM. The top three from each category will compete in the finals at the Fair on Thursday, September 19. There are four age categories: 8-11, 12-14, 15-17, and 18-20.

The deadline to submit entry forms is Friday, September 13 at 5 PM.

First place winners at the finals in each age category will win a three-song demo CD and cover design from Smart Studios in Nash, Texas.

Special prizes will also be awarded to second and third place winners in each age category.

Each contestant can compete only once and will have a time limit of three minutes for their performance as well as two minutes for set-up time and sound check. Contestants are required to bring their own music, instrument or props. Time will not be charged to your performance if the technicians request extra time. Townsquare Media and the Four States Fairgrounds will provide a complete sound system with technicians.
