Five Businesses That Could Move Into The Catch Building

The Catch Seafood Restaurant in Texarkana closed recently and the building is in the middle of the busiest parts of town.

The location which has been a Smashburger, I really liked that place, and now a seafood restaurant would be an ideal location for a new business. Yesterday I asked on our Facebook page what ya'll thought would be a good fit in the old catch building.

Sara said that a Panera Bread would work, Jersey said a 5 Guys or a Red Robin, Robin says the second location of Slim Chickens and Tracy would like a second Fuzzy's Taco location would be the best fit.

There were some other possible businesses that people wanted to see but in a few comments, the listeners echoed what I have thought about that location. It has had a high-end burger restaurant and a seafood restaurant that has both failed and it is in a prime location just off Richmon road.

The spot has limited parking and no place for a drive-thru, and there is no telling what the rent on a place that size would be. But just like Wendy, Johnathan and James all sai in their comments maybe the folks that own the building need to make the rent a little more reasonable so that a business can survive there.
