Annual Bramlett Beans & Cornbread on Thursday

It is time for the annual Bramlett Beans & Cornbread Community Fundraiser hosted by former Mayor James Bramlett and the Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreation Department. Enjoy yummy beans and cornbread on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015.

The event will be held from 11AM to 1PM at the Southwest Community Center. Lunch includes beans and cornbread, sponsored by Big Jake’s BBQ and Texarkana Independent School District, sodas sponsored by Coca Cola and coffee and dessert sponsored by Starbucks. A good lunch and a great cause, proceeds go to the Christmas Basket program. $5 per person or six non-perishable food items.

“Money and food items donated at the lunch go toward food baskets for truly needy families in the Texarkana area,” former Mayor Bramlett explained. “These baskets are delivered as anonymously as possible.”
