20th Annual Bramlett Beans and Cornbread Lunch December 6
Enjoy beans and cornbread for lunch on Thursday, December 6 for the annual Bramlett Beans and Cornbread Community Fundraiser hosted by former Mayor James Bramlett and the Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreation Department.
The luncheon will be from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Southwest Community Center in Texarkana. Lunch includes beans and cornbread, drinks and dessert. A good lunch and a great cause for just $5 per person or six non-perishable food items.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Christmas Basket program, which is a volunteer effort by the Cities of Texarkana, Texas and Texarkana, Arkansas and Texarkana Water Utilities which provides holiday food for need families in the area.
Along with the meal, students from Texas High will display handmade pottery as part of the Empty Bowls project. These bowls will go to the highest bidder in a silent auction during the lunch and the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Christmas Baskets project.
