New Free Music Classes And Youth Zumba At Southwest Center

The Texarkana Parks and Recreation Department is offering new free classes for our youth in Texarkana.

The Texarkana Parks and Recreation Department had this to say about the new hours and additional programs they are offering at the Southwest Center:

We have new hours at the Southwest Center, Monday 8 am to 7 pm, Tuesday thru Friday 8 am to 8 pm and Saturday 9 am to 6 pm. We also have a few new events starting like Youth Zumba on Thursdays 5 pm to 5:45 pm and Music Class on Wednesday 5 pm to 6 pm.

Here are all of the programs offers at the Southwest Center that are all free of charge.

Open gym Monday 9 AM to 3 PM Wednesday 9 AM to 3 PM Friday 9 AM to 3 PM and then 4 PM to 6 PM.

Youth basketball league that runs January through April or Saturdays from 10 AM to 5 PM

Dance and fitness classes are available Saturday from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

The cardio room is available Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Junior tennis lessons Wednesday 4 PM to 5:30 PM.

Yoga is on Wednesdays from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

Zumba has morning and afternoon classes Tuesday and Thursday from 9 AM to 10 AM and 6 PM to 7 PM.

The pool tables and game room or available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 8 PM Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Adult tennis lessons Wednesdays from 5:30 PM to 7 PM.

The new music classes are available for youth Wednesdays from 530 to 6:30 PM.

Kids library day room Monday through Saturday 9 AM to 7 PM

Pickleball is available Tuesdays 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM and Friday 6:30 PM to 8 PM

The Southwest Community Center and Park feature a gymnasium, multipurpose room, game room, meeting rooms, and industrial-size kitchen. Meeting rooms can be reserved for individual groups or family functions. The park area at Southwest Center provides for lotta tennis courts playground equipment any multipurpose open space.
