Scarlet is approximately two years old. Her beautiful blonde brindle color makes her stand out. She is only about knee-high. A little skittish coming out of the shelter but quickly warmed up and came to me when I called her...except the first time because she was checking out all of the smells when I brought her into the exercise area. That and she doesn't know her name. Since she was a stray we do not know what her name was so now she has a new one.

Scarlet acts like she has been beat on a bit so she will need to learn that those days are over when she goes to a new home and that may take a little time. She was so frightened when we first brought her up to the office from the adoption floor that she peed a little when the kennel worker touched her.

Scarlet has a great disposition. She is calm and was probably a house dog at some point in her life as she waited to use the bathroom until we got outside in the grass.

The fee to adopt Scarlet is approximately $120, which includes a $40 adoption fee and a the fee to have her spayed, which is mandatory for all animals adopted from the shelter. She also comes with a FREE basic survival kit from Pleasant Grove Animal Hospital valued at $100! This kit includes everything that is not performed when she goes to be spayed, including vaccinations, testing for worms, one month’s treatment for fleas and heart worms and so much more.

If Scarlet isn’t the dog you are looking for there are so may other dogs to choose from at the shelter and adoption fees range from $40 to $144, depending on the gender and size of the animal or whether they have been spayed or neutered yet.

You can also have your pet micro-chipped for only $20 right at the shelter! That way if your pet is ever lost, he can be returned to you quickly.
