Provide a Pet a Pad from the Animal Shelter in Texarkana [PHOTOS/VIDEO]
This week’s dog is Ray! She was named such because she is such a ray of sunshine and happiness even though she has been in the last kennel on the adoption floor for a few months now.
This girl is a happy little wiggle worm! She is good with kids (likes to lick their faces) and even though she is around three years old she still plays well with other dogs. She is not a barker and she is eager to please. Hopefully she finds a great home for she is truly a great medium sized dog!
The shelter’s adoption fees range from $40 to $144, depending on the gender and size of the animal or whether they have been spayed or neutered yet.
It is so unfortunate that there are thousands of dogs that are euthanized every year in our local shelter when there are so many dogs that would make fabulous pets. Please help us make a difference by spreading the word–share this blog on your Facebook page, Tweet about it too.
You can also have your pet micro-chipped for only $20 right at the shelter. That way if your pet is ever lost, he or she can be returned to you quickly when they are picked up by animal control.
The Animal Care and Adoption Center is located at 203 Harrison St., Texarkana, Ark. 71854 and is open Monday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Call for information 870-773-6388.
