The United Steelworkers 752 L at 3600 Washington Street across from Cooper Tire will be accepting non perishable items from 7AM to 3PM all week for the flood victims of Louisiana. 

Louisiana is in need of some serious help. As we all know the state was hit by tremendous rainfall for days on end that has caused devastating floods. Residents are in an official state of emergency. While volunteers and rescue crews are in full on mode, most folks are asking what exactly do Louisiana flood victims need the most in this situation?

The current list provided by the United Way of Southeast Louisiana includes.

Buckets, bleach, cleaning detergent, mops, mold treatment, brooms, paper towels, large garbage bags, rubber gloves, masks, scrub brushes, scouring pads, sponges, air freshener, toiletries, hand sanitizer, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, hand soap, disposable razors, shaving cream, toilet paper, diapers for babies, baby wipes, baby food, baby formula, sippy cups and bottles, pet cages, kennels, leashes, collars, pet food, cat litter, bottled water, nonperishable food items and school supplies.
