Cooper Tire And Rubber Company Red, Blue And You Fish Fry Thursday

The United Steel Workers Union 752L will hold their annual Red, Blue, and You, Fish Fry, on Thursday from 5:30 until 7 pm at the Union Hall across from Cooper Tire in Texarkana, Arkansas.

The Red, Blue, and You, Fish Fry honors our local police, fireman, Emergency Medical Personel, and all first responders in our area. Tickets for the fish fry are available now and are just $10. You can also get a meal box to go for the same price. Proceeds from the fish fry benefit the United Way of Greater Texarkana.

The United Way of Greater Texarkana uses the money raised from all of their events to help people in our community. They emphasize three basic building blocks of a good life, education, income, and health.

Even though 2020 has been a tough year for all of us, it certainly has for our local charities as well. Currently, our local United Way Texarkana is down $100,000 this year in their fundraising efforts due to the pandemic, and that directly affects the services of 30 organizations that usually benefit greatly from the United Way.
