As I was driving through Nash to pick up my kids not long ago, I saw some construction going on by the side of the road and wondered what was being built.

We all want new business for our town and something new in the Nash area is going to be greatly appreciated since this area is really growing with new roads and businesses. So I contacted a local real estate company that told me about the future plans for the project.

Curt Green & Company, LLC, a commercial real estate and development firm in Texarkana, said Victron Energy Group has broken ground on six acres at the southwest corner of Interstate 30 and North Kings Highway for development of a new travel center.

"The center is planned to include an 'upscale' convenience store, 12 to 16 fuel stations, and two restaurants to be named soon. Existing Victron-owned centers in the DFW Metroplex area and East Texas have restaurants ranging from McDonalds to Denny’s to Texas Best Smokehouse BBQ."
