Get Ready For The 9th Annual Turkey Trot In Texarkana

Don't miss the 9th annual 5K Turkey Trot in Texarkana on November 24 at Spring Lake Park In Texarkana..  

This is the ninth year of this great family-friendly event in Texarkana. The time of the Race is 8:30 AM with registration at 7 am. Here is what the organizers had to say about this year's event:

Start your holiday season with this year's Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot! Community Healthcore Foundation presents its 9th annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot.  Join our family tradition of a 5K Run/Walk.

The Turkey Trot's theme this year is "Jogging for Jeanell". The race will be on November 24th at 8:30 am at Spring Lake Park 4303 North Park Road in Texarkana Texas. This is a great family-friendly event for everyone. The event will take place rain or shine so make plans to attend.

Did you know that the proceeds of this fundraiser go toward the Community Healthcore Foundation this is what the foundation is all about:

The Community Healthcore Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation that was established in 2001 to bring awareness of Community Healthcore services and to raise funds for programs that enhance the lives of people served by Community Healthcore with mental illnesses, substance use disorders, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Foundation provides grants to Community Healthcore programs to assist with the growth and needs of the programs.  Some grants provided in the past were used to purchase programming items, provided a retreat for women veterans, provided start-up funds for Cornerstone project, provided start-up funds for Marshall day habilitation soap business, Heavenly Scent Soap, as well as many other projects.
