TISD Summer Feeding Program For Kids Kicks Off Today

Now that the school year is officially over and summer is now in full effect, the summer meals begin. Children need nutritious meals to learn, grow, and thrive, even when school is out.

With the 'Summer Food Service Program' provided by Texarkana Independent School District Nutrition Department, children and teens ages 18 and younger can continue to eat healthy throughout the summer at no cost, just by showing up at a participating meal site.
The program will begin today and run through July 31. Here are the locations and times for food distribution.
