TISD Offers Free Pediatric Asthma Screenings

The Texarkana Independent School District has teamed up with Christus St. Michael Health System and Genesis Prime Care will offer free mobile pediatric asthma screening clinics at select campuses during January and February.

If your TISD student suffers from seasonal allergies or colds, displays shortness of breath when playing, or has missed several days of school because of cold symptoms or frequent trips to the emergency room with breathing problems, you may want to have them screened. The Clinic is by appointment only.

Below is the link to the campus visit schedule. You must register for this screening. Ideally, Parents/Guardians must accompany the student to their appointment. However, if you are not able to attend the clinic with your child, please ask your Campus Health Aide for forms to complete before your student can be seen.

The mobile clinic will be there from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
