The famous Wiener Dog Races at Harrah's Louisiana Downs have been rescheduled for Saturday. 

The fun starts at 11 AM and the first race begins at 12 PM with the championship race happening at approximately 2 PM. There will also be race heats for children to participate in.

A children's area with free admission will be set up on the racing apron. Face painting will be available for an additional charge. Food trucks from across the region will also be on the racing apron serving up great local bites for purchase.

There will also be a live slate of thoroughbred Racing will follow at 3:15.

Because of the bad weather reschedule, there are open spots for a few more Wiener dogs to register to race You can email cboddie@caesars.com if you would like more information about the races.

All dogs that race must be purebred, and they need to be current on their vaccinations, as well as play well with others. Your dog must also be able to handle the heat and humidity.  Only one entry per dog allowed.  Only one dog per household will be allowed to compete. 32 Dogs will be chosen to compete. All entrants will be contacted by phone or email if chosen. Proceeds to benefit K9 Karma Service Dogs.
