The third annual 'Recipe Exchange' will take place at the PJ Ahern House on Saturday, September 26 from 1 to 3 PM.

Bring your go to recipes that you would take to a potluck dinner a picnic to share with the community the museum systems will have vintage cookbooks to browse and blank recipe cards for you to fill out for your own recipes or those that you find you just can't live without.

There will be cookbooks on display handwritten by Lady Joe Bealls Texarkana's own celebrity TV chef who hosted a happy home on KTAL TV back in the 1950s. There will also be featuring cookbooks from the 1910s to the 1980s by local Texarkana clubs, churches, and other organizations.
The Texarkana museum systems will provide three dishes for all of the folks attending to try. If you like ay of them you can grab a copy of those recipes. All of the recipes you submit will become part of the Texarkana Museums System Archives' Foodways collection.
