The Texarkana Museum Systems presents  "Canned Christmas 2" on Saturday at the historic P.J. Ahern home.

The museum systems invite you to participate in their unique crafting event  "Canned Christmas 2". This will take place at the PJ  Ahren Home in historic downtown Texarkana. The program begins at 2p on Saturday, This is what the Texarkana Museum Systems curator, Jamie Simmons. had to say about this event:

 

"We’re continuing our Christmas preparations with two new mason jar crafts,” This time we’re making one homemade beauty product and one kit-style jar, so there is sure to be something to appeal to anyone on your Christmas list.”

 

Admission to this event is $20 for Texarkana Museum System Members and $25 for non-members. All supplies, including jars, will be provided. Guests just need to register in advance at TexarkanaMuseums.org/Events. If you are a member of the Texarkana Museums Systems, you will receive an automatic discount.

The historic PJ Ahern home was designed by the original owners in the early 1900s. The two-story home features four bedrooms, four baths, a butler pantry, a music room, and a screened-in porch that was added in 1918 for the kids to sleep in.

The PJ Ahern was purchased in 2011 by the Texarkana Museum Systems and is now a historic site. The PJ Ahern home is located at 403 Laurel Street in Texarkana, Arkansas.
