Texas A&M University-Texarkana is awarding $1 million in scholarships as part of the Arnold Scholarship Award Program.

The Arnold Scholarship Award Program was established by Texas philanthropists, Anita and Truman Arnold, who provided a personal investment of $10 million at A&M-Texarkana, to pave the way for allowing students to receive a college education. A&M-Texarkana has the lowest university tuition in the state of Texas. Combining the scholarship with low tuition rates allows students to pay less than $4,000 per year for tuition. A student who first attends a community college and transfers to A&M-Texarkana to complete their degree gets closer to Governor’s Perry $10,000 degree challenge.
