Texas A&M University-Texarkana will celebrate its spring 2018 commencement ceremony Saturday, May 12, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Texarkana, TX on Moores Lane.

Kristie Avery, Graduation Specialist in the Office of the Registrar, said a total of 254 students will receive masters and baccalaureate degrees. Approximately 212 students are expected to participate in the ceremony. Three of the students participating in the commencement ceremony will be receiving the first doctorates awarded in school history.

Dr. Emily Cutrer, President of A&M-Texarkana, and Dr. David Yells, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, will present the candidates and confer the degrees.

Dr. David Yells will present academic hoods to the graduates receiving master’s degrees, and Dr. Roseanne Stripling will preside over the hooding ceremony for those receiving their doctoral degree.

The organist for the ceremony will be Vickie Al-Dubais, and the vocalist will be Alana Briley.
