Kathy Hillis from Big Brother 12 and is a Miller County officer is hosting an event on Monday. The Miller County Department of Human Services is having their semi-annual 'Strike Out Child Abuse' Bowl-A-Thon at Holiday Bowl, 3804 North Stateline from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

There are over 100 children in Miller County in foster care. These  children come into state custody through no fault of their own. It is because of abuse, neglect or some other safety concern in the home. Children who are in foster care require special care, support, nurturing and love.

This event allows local businesses, civic organizations, local law enforcement agencies and child advocates to strike a blow against child abuse.

Kathy inviting all my friends out to support the Miller County Department of Human Services, the bowlers and most importantly the precious children in foster care. Donations of new packages of socks, underwear, or set of pajamas for a foster child of any age are welcome. Anyone that stops by to cheer her team on and drop off a donation will be entered in a drawing for some official Big Brother items along with a signed photograph. It is going to be loud, fun filled, lots of laughs, smiles, and smack talking free of charge from Kathy. We can 'Strike Out Child Abuse' and make a difference! Take a moment this day and let these children know how much we love them.
