On Saturday, July 31st there will be a 'Scooby-Doo Mystery Party' at the P.J. Ahern home. This mystery party is being held in conjunction with the museum system's 50th birthday. The Texarkana Museum system reminds you that this is an adults-only event.

The Texarkana Museum systems had this to say about this weekend event:

It's 1971 and the Texarkana Historical Society is working diligently to open the city's first museum. Strange things keep happening to delay the museum's opening. Accidents or sabotage? There are plenty of suspects! Join us and help the Scooby Gang solve the crime!

The investigation begins at 6 pm. at the P. J. Ahern Home Museum, 403 Laurel Street in Texarkana, Arkansas. Tickets for the mystery party must be purchased in advance. Tickets are just $40 per person for non-members or $35 for Texarkana Museum Systems members. The couple's tickets are $75.

The historic PJ Ahern home was designed by the original owners in the early 1900's. The two-story home features four bedrooms, four baths, a butler pantry, a music room, and a screened-in porch that was added in 1918 for the kids to sleep in.

The PJ Ahern was purchased in 2011 by the Texarkana Museum Systems and is now a historic site. The PJ Ahern home is located at 403 Laurel Street in Texarkana, Arkansas.
