The Salvation Army Opens Cooling Station

Due to the extreme heat index expected for the rest of this week, The Salvation Army is opening a cooling station for the public. For those who do not have a place to go during the day, they may come to The Salvation Army Cooling Station at the Center Of Hope Homeless Shelter at 216 Hazel Street in Texarkana, Ark. The Shelter will provide ice water and a cool place to rest.

There is a high risk of heat stroke with our present inclement weather and The Salvation Army wants to assure the community that there is a place available for those who are in the heat.
