Provide a Pet a Pad - Help Us Find a Dog a New Home

Spanky is a laid back, young dog! He is very mellow. Spanky is less than two years old with the maturity level of a senior. He walks great on a leash and is light enough to be carried too.

Spanky is a terrier mix. He comes with a FREE basic survival kit from Pleasant Grove Animal Hospital valued at $100!

Wes calls it the "peace of mind package." This kit includes everything that is not performed when he is sent to the vet to be neutered. That means any vaccinations he needs, testing for worms, one month’s treatment for fleas and heart worms and so much more.

Each week we feature a dog from the animal shelter in Texarkana on our Morning Show. We share the blog on our Facebook page in hopes that others will do the same. There are thousands of dogs that are euthanized every year in our shelter in Texarkana. We hope to make a difference by spreading the word.

The shelter's adoption fees range from $40 to $144, depending on the gender and size of the animal or whether they have been spayed or neutered yet.

You can also have your pet micro-chipped for only $20 right at the shelter! That way if your pet is ever lost, he can be returned to you quickly.

The Animal Care and Adoption Center is located at 203 Harrison St., Texarkana, Ark. 71854 and is open Monday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
