Popular Ashdown Eatery to Open Location in Texarkana

Ashdown restaurant "The Fish Bowl" will soon be opening a location in Texarkana on Arkansas Boulevard.

The Fish Bowl will move into the Old Feed House buffet spot across from Big Jakes BBQ.  The folks at the Fish Bowl have been serving the Ashdown and surrounding area since 1972. Their location in Ashdown is open Thursday through Sunday and serves terrific seafood and southern cooking.

After taking a look at the menu, I noticed they serve the normal fare of fish and shrimp, both boiled and fried, and they also offer burgers and even steak for those folks looking for something other than fish.

They have a 2, 3, 5 and 7 piece fried catfish dinner with all the fixins. Cole slaw, beans, hush puppies, green tomato relish, onions and French fries. I got the 5 piece, should have got the 3 piece. Wife got the shrimp dinner. 13 shrimp. Holy cow, that's a lot of food. It was all really good. The service was excellent. Would definitely return.
