Attendees are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs to  this event which is in its 33rd year.

Finally, there will be another Memorial Day Service will be held on that Monday beginning at 1PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Highway 67 West in Wake Village. There will be patriotic music, guest speakers, and a 21-gun salute.

Those in attendance will be able to drive through an avenue of large American flags. There will also be hundreds of smaller American flags marking the graves of veterans throughout the park.

Memorial Day is more than just another summer holiday to barbecue or go to the lake. It's about remembering the cost of our freedoms in this country. A National Moment of Remembrance will be held at 3PM on that Monday. Take time to honor those who have served and died for this great country.
