Meet the author behind many books written about the Boggy Creek Monster. Local folks call it the Fouke Monster. Lyle Blackburn, author of the book "Beyond Boggy Creek," will be at the Monster Mart in Fouke, Ark., for a book signing. Don't worry if you don't have the book yet, he will have plenty available.

This is Blackburn's most recent book about our Fouke monster called "Beyond Boggy Creek: In Search of the Southern Sasquatch."

The book signing will be on Saturday, March 4, from 2PM to 4:30PM at the Monster Mart on Highway 71 South, Fouke, Ark. There is no charge for the book signing. You never know, Blackburn may reveal newly discovered information on the Fouke Monster that are not in the book.

Do you want to lurk on the river for the Fouke Monster? Sign up for a guided river tour with wildlife guide Lance Norman. Motor down the Sulphur River just south of Fouke where many monster sightings have been. Tours will be offered between 12PM and 6PM. The cost for the tour is $15 per person. Bring your camera. Sign up at the Monster Mart.

Do you want to go exploring on your own? Take a drive down to Boggy Creek, even stay overnight. Camping is available at Smith Park for free. The campsite is located northwest of Fouke on Hwy 237, also known as Blackman Ferry Road, near where County Roads 151 and 152 intersect Blackman Ferry Road. The campsite is close to the Sulphur River public boat ramps on the north end of the park.
