What the heck does an uncle twice removed mean?

If you've ever worked on tracing your family's genealogy using a family tree, things can get pretty tricky and confusing. J-Si and his wife Kinsey had a discussion about his family tree after learning about an 'uncle' in Mexico who passed away from COVID-19. Now this 'uncle' was from his grandfather's side of the family tree and when talking about all the guys from that side of the family, J-Si refers to them all as his 'uncles', but technically they're not.
