It’s Tax Free Weekend in Texas
The state of Texas is hosting their Tax-Free Weekend just in time for back to school.
With the start of the upcoming school year just a week away the tax-free weekend in Texas sales tax holiday is from Friday, August 9 and ends Sunday, August 11.
During the tax-free shopping weekend, state and local sales taxes will not be collected which means you could save up to $10 for every $100 you spend. Here are the items that are tax-free this weekend:
- Clothing and footwear if the sales price is less than $100 per item
- Clothing and accessories for items less than $50 each
- School supplies
- School art supplies
- School instructional materials
School starts for the Texarkana, Texas, and Texarkana, Arkansas side starts August 14. Pleasant Grove and Liberty Eylau start on Monday, August 12.
