It’s Tax Free Weekend in Arkansas

The state of Arkansas is hosting their Tax-Free Weekend just in time for back to school.

With the start of the upcoming school year just a couple of weeks away the tax-free weekend in Arkansas comes at the perfect time. Arkansas sales tax holiday starts at 12:01 AM on Saturday, August 1st, and ends Sunday, August 2nd at 11:59 PM.

During the tax-free shopping weekend, state and local sales taxes will not be collected which means you could save up to $10 for every $100 you spend. Here are the items that are tax-free this weekend:

• Clothing and footwear if the sales price is less than $100 per item
• Clothing and accessories for items less than $50 each
• School supplies
• School art supplies
• School instructional materials

The tax-free weekend for the Texas side will be next weekend August 7 through 9.
