Does This European Biker Journalist Enjoy Her Trip Through Arkansas?
I stumbled across this fascinating video of a journalist riding her motorcycle all over the United States along the way she is videotaping and narrating her journey for us. What does a European think of the great state of Arkansas? Let's find out.
Her name is Lea Rieck, she is a journalist/writer from Munich, Germany and this ride through the Natural State is not her first rodeo. In 2016 she spent 18 months circumnavigating the globe on a motorcycle. 90,000 kilometers (55,923 miles) in total and 50 countries. I haven't read or watched the videos of her adventures yet, but I plan on it. See links below.
Her trek across the US included parts of the country she missed on the first trip. It lasted 28 days and took her on a path that chewed up 9000 kilometers, that's 5592 miles to you and me, starting in California and ending up in Florida. Along the way, she included the Ozark Mountains in northern Arkansas and has some really nice things to say about the state.
Leah's adventures are titled Got2Go, as is the title of her first book about her around-the-world adventure, here are some links to her Facebook Page, Instagram Page, and YouTube channel. Leah's website is in German but here is the English-translated site.
Leah represents what many wish we had the guts to do when we were younger but didn't have the time or the financial means or any number of excuses. Life often gets in the way of doing many things, but the true adventurers will find a way to make it happen like Leah has, and continues to do so. Watch the video below, it is amazing. Thank goodness the technology has come along for us to go on these trips with her and others like her.
Good luck to you Leah, we will be following your adventures and some will wish we could come along.
