College Drive and 40th Street Closed This Week For Construction

College Drive and 40th street will be closed this week for railroad crossing construction.

Big sections of College Drive and 4th Streets in Texarkana will be closed today due to railroad crossing construction. According to TXK today the repairs are for 'collision beams' that will be installed on the bridges on College Drive and 40th street in Texarkana, Texas.

The closures will take place on the following days College Drive will close at the railroad overpass today an tomorrow from 7 AM to 3 PM. West 40th street will be closed at the railroad overpass Wednesday an Thursday between the hours of 7:00 AM-3:00 PM.

Shawn Vaughn of the Texarkana Texas Police department says:

Some people are trying to go around the construction areas ignoring the warning signs. Please pay attention and do not go through the work area.
