The Texarkana Chamber of Commerce is host their quarterly joint city meeting with the leadership of Texarkana, Texas, and Texarkana, Arkansas.

The joint meeting is today, May 8th at 3:00PM at the Ark-Tex Council of Governments Offices, 4808 Elizabeth Street, Texarkana, TX.

Today's meeting isl focusing on crime in Texarkana.  Guest presenters are Kristi Bennett, Marketing Officer & Rick Cockrell, Active Shooter Officer, Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department; Daniel L. Shiner, Chief of Police, Texarkana, Texas Police Department; Stephanie Potter Black, Texarkana, Arkansas Elected Prosecutor 8th Judicial District South; Jerry Rochelle, Texarkana, Texas Prosecuting Attorney; Bill Miller – 5th District Judge, Texas; and Carlton D. Jones, Circuit Court Judge, 8th Judicial District South - Arkansas, First Division.

Each city will be represented by the cities’ Mayor and two members of the Texarkana, Arkansas Board of Directors and two members of the Texarkana, Texas city council.  Michael Malone, President of the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce, will facilitate the program.
