A fatal traffic accident claims the life of a Texarkana, Arkansas man. The Texas DPS says 39 year old Michael Anderson was killed when the vehicle he was driving blew a tire, went into a skid, left the roadway and overturned.

Authorities say the accident occurred this morning around 12:45 near mile marker 150 on Interstate 30 in Franklin County in Northeast Texas. A passenger, 21 year old Jonitta Lambert, also of Texarkana sustained minor injuries in the accident.

A three year old girl is dead after a home erupted in fire Sunday Morning in the 1400 block of West 10th Street. Firefighters say half the home was engulfed in flames when they arrived on the scene and that it took about one hour to bring the fire under control.

Authorities say five adults and three children were in the home at the time the blaze erupted and that all family memebers got out of the house except the three year old victim. The investigation into what caused the deadly fire is continuing.

Oil prices have dropped below $84 dollars a barrel in trading today. Oil is down from a high of $115 dollars a barrel set back in early May of this year.
