According to a new survey, purchasing a home makes people 20 to 25 percent less likely to start their own business.

The researchers believe that the reason for this is that homeowners spend so much on housing that they don't have the money to invest in their own businesses.

It could be that. Or it could be the fact that owning a home takes a bunch of time and energy that could be otherwise devoted to business stuff.

It's hard to start a small business when you're constantly fixing leaky toilets and doing yard work, isn't it?
