Boggy Creek Festival in Fouke on Saturday
The 1st Annual Boggy Creek Festival will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 in Fouke, Arkansas. Festivities will begin with a parade at 10 a.m. and go throughout the day.
Most of the Festival will be held at the Fairgrounds in Fouke. The theme of this year’s parade is Shrek, so pull out the costumes, decorate your bikes and wagons and come have some fun. Activities include:
- Arts and Craft show
- Childrens activities
- Entertainment throughout the day
- Boggy Creek 5K run
- Motorcycle poker run
- Tours and presentations about the Boggy Creek Monster by Lyle Blackburn, who is an avid Bigfoot follower
- Food vendors
- A showing of ‘The Legend of Boggy Creek’ at dark
The events that charge are the 5k run, the poker run and the guided tours of the Boggy Creek area.

Lasting Influence of the Southern Bigfoot with Jerry Hestand. Jerry is a veteran bigfoot researcher, featured on the History Channel’s MonsterQuest “Swamp Stalker” episode which investigated the Fouke Monster.
