Baseball Is Making My Summer!!

Despite the sizzling temperatures I am having fun this summer and some kids and baseball are to credit."My Boys" , as I refer to them as, are a 9/10 year old baseball team that I am fortunate enough to get to coach. The PG Rangers as we are called started slowly in early March by stumbling out of the gate at 1-3, but finished strong winning 10 out of our last 12 games to finish 2nd with a record of 11-5.

That was good enough to make the District Playoffs which will be held next week in DeKalb, Texas. I enjoy baseball and even more love coaching and teaching these young men how to play the sport as a team.

We made our two year goal of making to District and now will try and make the State Tournament, but it won't be easy. 4 other teams including one that is unbeaten stands in our way.

I know we can get the job done. But whatever happens, it already has been a joyful and memorable two year ride. Thanks boys for the fun ride!!!!
