Terrence Howard, who was nominated for an Oscar for Hustle and Flow, but is likely best known for playing Tony Stark's buddy Col. James Rhodes in the first Iron Man film, was allegedly assaulted by a former girlfriend outside his home earlier this month.

The incident, which occurred on May 6, is just being reported. according to a police report obtained by CBS Philadelphia, White Marsh Township police were called to Howard's home after his ex, 39-year-old May Seng Yang showed up and allegedly started a verbal spat with the actor's current girlfriend around 11 p.m. Howard claims he walked to the gate and opened it to try to calm the situation down, when Yang reportedly attacked him, hitting him in the face.

Responding officers claimed Howard's nose was swollen. Yang was arrested on the spot and charged with simple assault, harassment, defying criminal trespassing, and disorderly conduct.
