Summer movie season just isn’t the same this year. We’re still weeks away from the first blockbuster of the season under the best possible circumstances. And we’re months away from the first Marvel movie of 2020 — Black Widow, which was originally due out in theaters in May of 2020 and is now scheduled for release on November 6, 2020.

There’s not much for Marvel fans to use to fill the void but rewatch the first 23 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and perhaps to stock their homes with bizarre Marvel merchandise. Marvel’s transformation from humble comic-book publisher to the source of one of the most most successful franchises in cinema history has been accompanied by an explosion in licensed products inspired by the company’s vast library of characters. A few decades ago, you were lucky to find a couple Marvel T-shirts and toys. Now, almost every household item imaginable comes in a Marvel version. Marvel’s product catalog reads like the classic “Merchandising!” scene from Spaceballs, only not a joke.
