When Do You Open Your Christmas Presents? Christmas Eve, Or Christmas Day?
Can You believe it will be December on Thursday? And you know what that means? Christmas, and when it comes to presents do you open your Christmas presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas day?
I don't know if your family has gone high-tech with their Christmas list. We have a Google Doc that each family member can put in what they want for Christmas. It even has links for you to check out each present before you make the purchase. It has made looking for gifts easier, but it kinda takes some of the fun out of opening the gifts, since you already know what you are getting.
With all of this new modern stuff for Christmas, and gift cards being more of the norm for most of my family, do you open your Christmas presents on Christmas eve or Christmas day? With my ever-growing family, things have changed a bit when it comes to opening your presents.
When I was a kid growing up the tradition was to open your presents on Christmas day, now with my bigger family including all of my cousins and aunts and uncles, we meet at our granny Sue's house on Christmas Eve and exchanged presents from our secret Santa list.
Then on Christmas day, our kids and my brother and sister-in-law's little girl get to open presents from us and Santa of course at our house with our entire family. I have heard of families that open a single present on Christmas Eve as well like Christmas PJs and such.
When do you open your Christmas presents? On Christmas Eve? Christmas Day? Or on both days, like our family. Let us know in the comments, please.
