How can this be? Just imagine taking a day trip to DFW/Grand Prairie this weekend, and going to a waterpark, on a day with a high temperature lower than 50 degrees. Epic Waters Indoor Water Park does the unthinkable and opens to the public tomorrow. Boasting a 600ft lazy river, play structures for the little ones, and lots of watersides from mild to wild, epicwaters truly is a feat of modern architecture.

Keeping the entire structure at 85 degrees year round, no matter what is happening out side is nothing short of a miracle. On warmer days a retractable roof will let in the sunshine. Opening this Friday at 5, the first 50 people in the door get a season pass, the next 50 get a $100 gift card. But the line starts at 8am on Friday, so I hope you have the day off.  Then they will be open the rest of the weekend their normal hours from 10am-9pm.

There is so much more to do there than just the water park. According to their facebook page this is going to be the place for fun and leisure.

Epic Waters is an incredible 80,000 square-foot indoor/outdoor, year-round waterpark peaked with a beautiful curved-style, retractable roof. The waterpark’s slide tower features eleven waterslides, three of which are “first of their kind” in the waterpark industry. Other features include an outdoor wave pool, the longest lazy river in Texas, a 4,000 square-foot arcade and a full-service bar. Turn up the excitement with birthday parties, private rentals, and year-round events.

I don't know about you, but I am wondering where my swim trunks are right now!
