The United Way Of Texarkana Kickoff Thursday
This Thursday will be the Kickoff Of The 95th Annual United Way Campaign at the Southwest REA Corporate room in Texarkana, Ar.
David and Robin Hickerson with Southwest Arkansas REA and Texarkana, Arkansas School District are this years campaign co-chair. This year is already starting on a positive note with all donations from the companies outperforming last year's results.
The mayors of both sides of the city, Bob Bruggerman and Ruth Penny Bell will be in attendance. This year's new campaign video will be shown as well. The Arkansas High ROTC will be in attendance and 11th grader Allie Graves will sing the national anthem and give her testimony.
The United Way of greater Texarkana added new agencies and programs this past year, and the continued growth from this years fundraising will help fund these new programs. The primary focus of these new agencies and programs is health, education and financial guidance. The United Way Of Greater Texarkana serves more than the Texarkana area. The fundraising goal is $900,000 this year.
