The Simmons Bank Arena In Little Rock Is Making A Big Change
The Simmons Bank Arena is in Little Rock and is doing something pretty radical. They will no longer accept cash for any payments in the arena.
If you plan to go to any of the upcoming shows you need to be aware that they will no longer accept cash for any merchandise and concessions in the arena effective immediately. Officials for the arena said:
The change was made in an effort to "enhance customer experience and promote health and safety. The new policy will go into effect immediately beginning with this weekend's events.
Here is a list of the shows that are coming to the Simmons Bank Arena in the next week.
January 29 Elton John
January 30 Jeff Dunham
January 31 JoJo Siwa
February 4 Harlem Globetrotters
February 5th Reba Mcentire
February 6 Bert Kreischer
The Simmons Bank Arena said they want this change to help speed up the transactions in the arena. They will be accepting all debit and credit cards as well as Google and Apple pay. Customers will still be able to use cash at the box office.
With this change coming is it really a big issue? According to a recent study, less than 34 percent of us carry cash and most have less than $50 on them at any given time. I for one would not have a problem with this new policy, especially if it makes those lines move quicker.
